These pre-launch terms describe rules for Shepherd’s Watch and require final operator and legal review before real-member rollout.
Membership and security
Access is limited to invited adults authorized by a participating church. Use your own verified email, complete MFA, and keep credentials private. Do not share accounts. Church membership and administrator authority may be revoked.
Responsible use
Use the service for lawful church safety communication. Share accurate, necessary information that you are authorized to disclose. Distinguish observations from verified facts, cite official sources for criminal-history claims, and request corrections promptly. A name or photo match alone does not establish identity or criminal status.
Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, stalk, dox, retaliate, publish speculation as fact, upload intimate or exploitative material, or share unnecessary sensitive identifiers. Do not use the service for facial recognition, automated background screening, or employment, housing, lending, insurance, or other eligibility decisions.
Content and moderation
You retain rights you have in submissions and authorize the service to store, process, screen, and display them to their permitted audience. Only submit materials you have the right to share. Screening may hold or reject content and does not guarantee accuracy or appropriateness. Administrators may correct, restrict, or remove content and suspend access; members may request review or appeal.
Privacy boundaries
Respect church and conversation boundaries. Do not redistribute private content, export records without authorization, or bypass permissions. Read the Privacy policy and Community guidelines. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
Service limitations
This is a communication tool, not an emergency service, law-enforcement database, or formal background-check provider. Call 911 in an emergency. Verify information independently and use appropriate professional judgment. Availability and accuracy are not guaranteed; outages can delay messages, screening, and notifications.
Leaving and changes
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. Some submissions and audit records may remain subject to review and retention needs described in the Privacy policy. We may change features and these terms and will communicate material changes. No additional legal rights or waivers should be inferred from this draft.
